Meet My New Friend Guido

Meet my new buddy Guido.

He's about as handsome and full of personality as they come.

Guido is a 10-week old Cane Corso puppy. He belongs to Knitter Extraordinaire Stacey and her husband Vic.

Cane Corsos are type of Italian Mastiff. The breed is "strong, sturdy and athletic; ready to meet any challenge" (I think we could use more people with those characteristics!). They were bred to hunt wild boar (the animal kind of wild boars, not the human kind you meet at parties.)

Hard for me to believe that this sweet, sweet dog will grow into something "ready to meet any challenge."

I think the only challenge he is facing now is fighting off a nap.

Then I looked at his paws. This baby has a wee bit of growing to do.

I plan to stay on his good side. When he's 110 pounds, I want to be his friend. I sure hope he doesn't find me to be a wild boar!
