This is what I want to do today. I want to work on this rug. I can hear it calling me, and I must say, it's not calling out nice things: "Please fix the goofy tree on the right today. No tree grows like that in nature." I also hear: "The grass is almost done you lazy hooker. Why don't you just finish it" This rug even had the audacity to call out: "Really, how long does it take to finish hooking the grass lady. Let's get cracking!" This rug has some attitude.
It knows I've been a bad hooker lately. I've tried to work on this rug 10 minutes every day. I even took a sacred pledge to do so with the 10-Minute Challenge. (http://www.rughookingdaily.ning.com/) But alas, even a sacred pledge has to take a back seat to this:
This is my back yard -- and it's not a pretty sight. This is not the farm where leaves can blow themselves away. This is a problem. Leaves. Millions of them. I really don't think they are going to get themselves to the curb for pick up. I think they are waiting for me to do something about them. And today is the day.
So no matter what my rug is calling out, I must work on the yard today. Hang tight rug-with-attitude, I'm coming -- just as soon as these leaves quit talking to me!

Your rug-with-an-attitude is coming along very nicely and you'll be done with it before you know it.
I hope you got lots of leaf raking done. It's a great day in Ohio to do it. I have two huge trees-with-an-attitude in my front yard. The problem with them is that they won't lose their leaves for another couple of weeks!
I do hope you found some time to hook today. If not, be sure to hook tomorrow.
Pug hugs :)
Lauren
I like the trees.
